The Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Jumperoo is a VERY popular product. It’s one that we’ve been trying to find time to review, and today, we’re happy to announce that we have time. This product is in the mid to upper price range, and it has a lot of reviews from consumers who’ve purchased it.
When you see all of the features it has, you should find it quite easy to see why it’s such a popular product. For starters, it has a spinning seat, which gives baby an all-around play experience. There are lights, sounds and music that activate whenever baby jumps.
Although this is very fun and thrilling to watch, it also helps baby to learn. The lights and music reward baby for developing motor skills. It’s really a simple feature to add, but it can make all of the difference in how much your baby gets out of this jumper.
Sadly, there is no shortage of products that DON’T have this simple feature. We like that this model has 6 different toy stations. There are also two overhead toys that activate five different melodies and lights when baby grabs them. It has plenty of different objects, shapes and colors to offer.
It helps baby to learn cause and effect and animal identification. It even introduces animal sounds into the mix as baby is jumping. There are three ‘sing-along’ songs that are delightful. The steel frame is freestanding and durable. It’s definitely sturdy enough to hold your baby while he or she jumps.
This is the type of jumper that doesn’t require doorways, so there is no need to worry about that. The height can be adjusted as baby continues to grow, and there are special spring covers to prevent injury.
While providing a very enjoyable experience, this model encourages baby to practice moving and jumping skills. Music and sounds are used as effective rewards. There are two different modes of play. Baby can spin, jump and enhance his or her motor skills.
The seat rotates and bounces, and there is a thoughtful animal and farm theme to keep baby enticed. The ‘musical fun’ mode is great and can provide hours of entertainment.
The songs that it plays are delightful, and there is also an ‘early learning fun’ mode, which introduces baby to animal sounds, shapes and colors.
This mode is great for the learning of cause and effect. There is a farm-themed flipbook, shape-sorting garden, peak-a-boo horsey and rattle heads. The frame is very durable and provides us with peace of mind.
The two different audible modes are really enjoyable. One of them plays music while the other teaches words. Once the book opens, the word in the book is said, which is cute.
When compared with other jumperoos, this one seems to provide more education and activities. It’s often preferred over the Precious Planet and Rainforest jumperoos.
If there is a major benefit of this model, it’s the fact that it’s VERY educational. It really does teach baby a lot.
Some consumers have complained that the play area is filled with many activities that do not work. The peak-a-boo horse and little pigs aren’t favorites for everyone and consume about a third of the play space.
However, that doesn’t mean that all babies will not like these activities. A few consumers have also complained and said the spring started squeaking loudly after a few months. This isn’t necessarily related to the quality of the product – but is likely a unique situation.
We weren’t surprised to find that this is a high-quality product. Is it perfect for everyone? No. However, it’s not too expensive and has a lot to offer. We really think you’ll find that it’s worth the money.
